Regulations

  1. The meeting will be carried out in accordance with the rules of the German swimming association (DSV).
  1. Every club, team, starting-community and representative team which is member of the World Swimming Association (FINA) is entitled to participate in this meeting.
  1. The pool is 25 metres in length. The 6 lanes are separated by wave killing lines. A second pool (25 metres) is available for warm-up purposes.
  1. Electronic timing is in use.
  1. Throughout the meeting the one start rule will be applied.
  1. The mixed relay teams (events 21, 121, 34, 134) must be combined by exactly two girls and two boys. The combination of athletes has not to be identical in heats and final.
  1. When a swimmer reaches a foreign national or regional record the corresponding record forms have to be delivered to the referee immediately. German records will be handled by the organiser. The record swimmer respectively the coach has to control the handling of records.
  1. Seeding and scoring of heats & finals:
  1. The seeding of the heats (events 3 - 23, 26 - 34) will be in correspondence to SW §121 and SW §122, and the seeding of the finals and timed finals (events 1 - 2, 101 - 121, 24 - 25, 122 - 134) in correspondence to SW §121 and SW §123 of the German swimming regulations.
  2. Results will be decided by year of birth for the age group 2002 - 2008. The results for the age group 1998 - 2001 will be decided independent of year of birth. Excluded from these regulations are the relays and final events.
  3. The six fastest swimmers, regardless of their age group, of preliminary heats qualify for the final.
  4. For each entry time for 400 m Freestyle and 400 m ind. Medley a proof by an excerpt of (or a link to) a result list has to be delivered. A maximum of five heats per event will be carried out. The fastest 15 swimmers of the age group 2004 - 2008 and the age group 1998 - 2003 will be accepted to compete. If there are less than 15 entries in one of these age groups the heats will be filled up with swimmers of the other age group. After entry deadline a start list without heats' seeding will be published. The registered swimmers have to show up at the speakers point on Friday 22.11. until 13.00 (400 Freestyle), respectively on Sunday, 24.11. until 8:30 (400 ind. Medley), to confirm, that they will swim. The proven entries then will be seeded (SW §121 and §123 of the German swimming regulations).
  1. Awards:

    Age groups: Place 1-3: Medals
    Finals: Place 1-3: Medals, Cash rewards (1st: 40 €; 2nd: 20 €; 3rd: 15 €)
    Relay finals: Place 1-3: Medals, Cash rewards (1st: 100 €; 2nd: 50 €; 3rd: 25 €)

    Meeting records will be awarded by a jackpot amount. Please take a look at the record list to read the current jackpot of each meeting record. If the same swimmer breaks a meeting record in prelims and in the final again, the jackpot amount will be paid only once. If two or more swimmers break a record each with the same time, the jackpot will be devided between the swimmers. The jackpot amount for an unbroken meeting record will be increased by 25 € for the following year, whereby the maximum amount per meeting record is 250 €.

    Special rewarded heats will get allotted during the meet. Each winner of these heats will receive an honorary award.

    The female and male swimmer with the best result according to the FINA-Table will be rewarded with an honorary award. The team with the most points will be rewarded with a challenge cup and an honorary award. The points are calculated by the ranks in the finals: (1st: 9; 2nd: 7; 3rd: 5; 4th: 3; 5th: 2; 6th: 1).
    Certificates for the age group results will be printed on request. All certificates can also be downloaded at www.ssf-jugendmeeting.eu.
  1. All clubs / teams are asked to provide at least one referee per session in that they have entered four or more athletes. Referee clothes: Dark, long trousers and a white t-shirt.
  1. You may send us your applications via E-Mail in DSV or LENEX file format. You can download a registration-module, with that you can send electronic entries via email, as well as the DSV and LENEX file, at www.ssf-jugendmeeting.eu.

    Please note that all applications must be received by not later than 08.11.2019.  The meeting operates with qualifying times. The entry fee per individual start is 12 €, which is reduced to 6.50 € if the competitor matches the qualifying time or is below it. We will reimburse the amount shortly after the competition. The entry fee per relay is 8.00 € (no qualifying times here). Additionally, every participating club / team must pay a onetime basic fee of 30,00 € per club / team. If the club / team provides the proper count of referees (see 10.) , 20,00 € of this fee will be reimbursed shortly after the competition.
    When sending your applications, you must provide a valid bank account, to that we can transfer the reimbursement amount.

  1. All clubs receive a confirmation of their inscriptions. The start list will be available for download under www.ssf-jugendmeeting.eu and will also be handed out at the information desk.
    The result lists will also be available for download under www.ssf-jugendmeeting.eu (DSV, LENEX and PDF format).
  1. The organizer reserves the right to change starting times. If the number of entries is too high, registrations may have to be turned down.
  1. By participating in the competition, the participant agrees to the electronic storage, processing and transfer of the competition-related personal data stating the name, club name, national association affiliation, age, class, competition name, start number and start time. This processing is done according Article 6 para. 1 lit. b) GDPR. By participating in the competition, the participant also agrees to the processing and publication of the start and result lists and, possibly photos of the competition and the award ceremony in posters/bulletins, on the Internet, in social media and in other publications of Schwimm- und Sportfreunde Bonn 1905 e.V. Participants may object to the storage, processing and use of their personal data and request cancellation. The consequences result from the competition regulations of the Deutscher Schwimm-Verband e.V. The already published result lists are not changed in case of an opposition against the publication, they remain existing.
  1. Claims for damages against Schwimm- und Sportfreunde Bonn 1905 e.V. are excluded unless otherwise stated below. The above exclusion of liability also applies in favor of the legal representatives and vicarious agents of Schwimm- und Sportfreunde Bonn 1905 e.V., provided that participants of the Internationales Jugendmeeting 2019 assert claims against them.
  1. Excluded from the exclusion of liability stated in Section 15 are claims for damages due to injury to life, body, health and claims for damages resulting from the violation of essential contractual obligations. Significant contractual obligations are those whose fulfillment is necessary to achieve the objective of the contract. Also excluded from the disclaimer is the liability for damages that are based on a willful or grossly negligent breach of duty by the Schwimm- und Sportfreunde Bonn 1905 e.V., its legal representatives or vicarious agents.
